- Do you need help? Does she need help? (Simple present tense, penggunaan do dan does disesuaikan dengan subjek).
- Did you need help? (Past tense, penggunaan did menyesuaikan dengan keadaan lampau yang sudah terjadi).
- They have done the homework, he has done the homework (Present perfect tense).You had done the homework (Past perfect tense).
- Mira and Andi have been together for 5 years, he has been working in the company since 2010 (Present perfect continuous).
7. Modal Verb
Diketahui sebagai turunan dari auxiliary verb, tipe kata kerja ini berfungsi untuk menunjukkan kemampuan, kemungkinan, atau kebutuhan dalam sebuah kalimat.
Berikut adalah modal verb yang harus diketahui:
- Can, could yang artinya "dapat"
- May, might yang artinya "mungkin/boleh"
- Will, would yang memiliki arti yaitu "akan"
